Grouting Wall Tiles

  1. First of all, check that the adhesive is set and the joints between the tiles are clean and dry and clear of adhesive
  2. Apply a protective sealant to porous tiles to prevent discolouring. Trial a small area first
  3. Now you’re ready to start mixing a grout. Using the instructions stated on the packet for the mix quantity measure the water you need for your mix and pour it into your mixing bucket and add the powder to the required level. Stir as you go into a smooth, lump free consistency. Only mix as much grout as you’re likely to use within an hour
  4. Check the grout is well mixed
  5. Now you’re ready to start grouting. Use a grout float to carefully press the grout into the joints and clean off any residues from the surface of the tiles with a damp sponge before the grout starts to set
  6. Once set, polish the towels with a clean, damp cloth to remove any remaining grout film
