NORCROS ADHESIVES SHORTLISTED IN INDUSTRY AWARDS
Norcros Adhesives recently entered the prestigious Tile Association Awards for the first time, and were shortlisted in three categories; Excellence in Manufacturing, Excellence in Marketing and Best Use of Tile in a Domestic Project.
Norcros Adhesives’ investment in new machinery to increase and extend production has been one of the major drivers behind the growth of the company following a £1.8M investment in 2011.
One of the latest investments is a major upgrade to its Haver Integra Valve sack-filling machine which has seen output rates almost double, enabling stock replenishment at a much faster rate, as well as an increased shelf life of products, providing additional benefits for their customers.
The Launch of Ultim8 and Ultim8+ in February 2014, has equally supported the business’ growth. The brand new products were part of a major revamp of the company’s ready-mixed range by its R&D team as a result of working closely with fixers to meet their needs and requirements. They were the first products to be launched using the refreshed and revitalized corporate identity.
Marketing communications activity positioned the new adhesives as must-have products for tiling in bathrooms, kitchens, showers and wet rooms, as well as spearheading a refreshed corporate identity for the company. The launch of the products – and associated roll-out of the new corporate identity – saw a 31% increase in the sales of ready-mixed adhesives.
Despite the company only forming in 2005, these on going investments have resulted in Norcros Adhesives’ positioning within the top five of specialist tile adhesive manufacturers, and being recognised as a serious player within the industry at TTA Awards 2015.
