Can you tell us about your role at Norcros Adhesives and how you came to work with us?
During my time at Norcros I have had various roles working with all departments across the company. Initially when I joined, I was the main point of contact for transactional processing as well as the contact for sales queries. I have since continued my professional development at Norcros to assisting to prepare monthly financial statements and analysing management information mainly for Operations & Sales.
What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are the same in my role, this can vary from producing reports for management, assisting with ongoing improvement projects or monthly financial reporting & forecasting. Whatever the day brings my colleagues are always there to offer support. Our food desk is also a highlight each day!
How have you been able to learn and grow at Norcros Adhesives?
Over the past 4 years Norcros Adhesives have enabled me to develop my professional career with supporting me with my accounting qualifications as well as developing my abilities on a day to day basis within the company to assist wherever I’m required.
What do you enjoy most about working at Norcros Adhesives?
The varied nature of the role & the people.
What tips would you give to someone looking to start their career within a busy accounts department?
Never be afraid of getting stuck in at every opportunity, ask lots of questions and be ready to spend time studying to continue your development within Finance.
What advice would you give to your younger self about your career?
Be less shy and more confident in yourself.
How do you feel you make the most impact in your role at Norcros?
By getting stuck in and being willing to help with various projects ongoing within the business.
What’s your favourite activity to do in your spare time?
Walking the dog & finding new places to eat 😊
