Step by Step Guide to Floor Tiling to Anhydrite Screeds
Before you start
- Ensure the screed has been allowed to dry for 7 days and that it has achieved a Relative Humidity of not greater than 95%
- Remove all traces of laitance and dust by lightly sanding the surface
Step 1
- Mix parts 1A and 1B together until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved
- Apply to the screed using a roller or brush and allow to dry for 2 hours
Step 2
- Mix parts 2A and 2B together until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved
- Apply to the screed using a roller or brush at a 90o angle to the first coat, and allow to dry for 24 hours
Step 3
- Pour the moisture suppressant into a suitable tray and apply the first coat using a roller or brush
- Allow to dry for 1 hour
- Apply a second coat of moisture suppressant using a roller or brush at a 90o angle to the first coat
- Allow to dry for 1 hour
Step 4
- Apply one coat of gritted primer and allow to dry for 1 hour
Step 5
- If required, apply Pro Gyp-Base Levelling Compound before tiling commences
- Prepare and mix Norcros Pro Gyp-Base adhesive and apply to the screed
