How to use Norcros Adhesives Wet Seal Tanking Membrane

Application for Walls:
1. Dilute the primer 1:2 with water and brush apply on to the area to be tanked.
2. Allow to dry.
3. With a suitable brush, apply Norcros Wet Seal Liquid to internal and external corners, junctions between walls and
floors, junctions between boards and/or different substrates, areas where pipes penetrate, and any small cracks or gaps in the background.
4. Fix Norcros Waterproof Tape into the wet membrane, ensuring that there are no gaps between the lengths of tape, and paint a second layer of Norcros Wet Seal Liquid over the tape.
5. Brush apply the Norcros Wet Seal Liquid over the remaining area of the walls, to a height of no less
than 1m.
In frequently-used showers or wet rooms, the full area of walls may require tanking.

Application for Floors:
1. Dilute the primer 1:2 with water and brush apply on to the area to be tanked.
2. Allow to dry.
3. With a suitable brush, apply Norcros Wet Seal Liquid over the whole floor area.
4. On timber floors, suspended floors and in areas that may be subject to heavy use, Norcros Waterproof Matting should be laid into the wet membrane, taking care to overlap the matting by approximately 20mm.
5. a second layer of the Norcros Wet Seal Liquid painted over the matting.

Norcros Wet Seal should be applied at temperatures above 5°C and tiling can be undertaken as soon as the membrane has dried which is usually around 24 hours at 20°C.
Drying times will be extended in cold or humid conditions.
Do not use below 5°C.
