Tiling Onto A Screed Floor

  1. The first step is to make sure the background surfaces are dry, clean, flat and strong enough to support the tiling. Check for special preparation instructions for your background
  2. Now we’re ready to start mixing the adhesive. Pour cold water into the mixing bucket to the required level for the weight of powder. Gradually add the adhesive, stirring as you go, creating a smooth, lump free consistency. Only mix the amount of adhesive you will be able to use within 30 minutes
  3. Spread the adhesive using a suitable notched trowel
  4. Firmly apply the tiles into the adhesive ribs, using a slight twisting action
  5. It is advised to lift a tile now and again to check the coverage
  6. The adhesive is rapid setting so you can begin grouting 3 hours later
