Refurbishment of Press Office Cafeteria

The challenge was to provide fixing systems that would enable tiles to be fixed to three different substrates including; concrete, existing floor tiles and woodblock flooring.

Norcros Rapid Porcelain Grey Adhesive was used on the solid concrete floors and also on top of the existing floor tiles once a slurry-bonding coat, consisting of 2 parts adhesive mixed with 1 part Norcros Prime Bond, had been brush applied onto the tiles to provide a key.

By using Norcros 2-Part Tile Direct to Wood Rapid elastomeric adhesive, it was possible to fix tiles securely over the woodblock flooring once the floor had been prepared.

In all areas, Norcros Super Epoxy Grout was used to provide a hygienic, easy clean surface.
